  1. When holding the approval letter, you need to print it out for boarding airplane. The police officer at the airport in your country will check it and allow you to board the plane. (Those who do not have the visa approval letter will be not allowed for boarding).
Besides this approval letter, each of you needs to prepare these things for your application to get your visa stamped at the airport:

    • Passport (valid for at least 6 months on arrival)
    • Printed visa approval letter
    • Filled entry and exit form
    • 02 passport-sized photos
    • Stamping fee

With these things, you will come to LANDING VISA or VISA ON ARRIVAL Counter after landing to apply. Then wait for her/him call your name to return your passport with a ready visa.

  2. To complete the online application for a Vietnam visa approval letter, the visa applicants need to provide the following information exactly as shown in their passports (as once issued, the approval letter could not be amended in any way).

    • Full name (exactly as in your passport)
    • Date of birth (DOB)
    • Nationality
    • Passport Number
    • Proposed arrival date
    • Proposed exit date

  3. You can apply for an approval letter as soon as you wish. Although it takes only 2 working days to get your visa approved, it is strongly advised that you apply for a Vietnam visa 1 – 2 weeks before your arrival date to avoid any unexpected payment issues, changing plan or other administrative problems.

  4. No, not necessarily. The arrival date you provide should be the earliest you plan to arrive, but you can arrive after, not before that date. The departure date is the last day you are permitted to be in the country unless you get a visa extension.

For example: If you apply for a 1 month visa and submit your arrival date as Jan 01, 2016, the visa letter will be valid from Jan 01, 2016 to Feb 01, 2016. You can arrive any time between Jan 01, 2016 and Feb 01, 2016 but must leave the country by Feb 01, 2016.
