    What is this “Visa on arrival” (VOA)?

    Vietnam visa on arrival or landing visa is a service to help customers get a visa to Vietnam at the international air border gates of Noi Bai (Hanoi Capital), Tan Son Nhat (Hochiminh city), Da Nang and Cam Ranh
    Customers simply apply for their visa through our website with a very simple manipulation instead of directly going to the Embassy or Consulate of Vietnam in the host countries taking more time and cost. After 2 working days with the conventional cases, and 6 hours for urgent cases, we will complete all the documents and papers necessary for the customer to get a visa at the air international border gate of Vietnam. Customers are welcome to Vietnam at the entrance to the international terminal. Our staff will undertake all the procedures to get a visa at the airport.

  2. No, you cannot use the visa approval letter to get the visa stamp at the border by land or sea.

    Vietnam visa on arrival is applicable to air travel only since the visa applicants must get visa stamped at the arrival airport in Vietnam. If this is the case, you are recommended to contact Vietnam Embassy/Consulate in your living country or near your living county to apply for a visa.

  3. Vietnam visa on arrival type is granted according to the length of staying, a number of entries and visiting purpose, including:

    • 1 Month single entry: You are permitted to enter Vietnam ONCE during one Month of your visa validity. After exiting Vietnam, your visa will automatically become invalid. If you would like to re-enter, you need to apply for a new visa.

    • 1 Month Multiple entries: You are permitted to enter Vietnam as Many Times as you want during One Month your visa validity.

    • 3 Months single entry: You are permitted to enter Vietnam ONCE during Three Months your visa validity. After exiting Vietnam, your visa will automatically become invalid. If you would like to re-enter, you need to apply for a new visa.

    • 3 Months Multiple entries: You are permitted to enter Vietnam as Many Times as you want during Three Months your visa validity.

    • 6 Months Multiple entries: You are permitted to enter Vietnam as Many Times as you want during Six Months your visa validity.

    • 1 Year Multiple entries: You are permitted to enter Vietnam as Many Times as you want during One
      Year your visa validity.

    According to visiting purpose, we are ready to process following visa on arrival types:

    • Business visa: valid for 1 month, 3 months ((single or multiple entries); 6 months, and 1 year (multiple entries)
    • Tourist visa: valid for 1 month or 3 months (single or multiple entries)

  4. There is a big difference between a single entry visa and a multiple entries visa to Vietnam which lies in a number of entries:
    - Single entry visa: You are permitted to enter Vietnam ONCE during your visa validity. After exiting Vietnam, your visa will automatically become invalid. If you would like to re-enter, you need to apply for a multiple entry visa.
    - Multiple entries visa: You can enter and exit Vietnam many times as you want during your visa validity.

     

    For Example:

    • 1 Month single entry: You are permitted to enter Vietnam ONCE during one Month of your visa validity. After exiting Vietnam, your visa will automatically become invalid. If you would like to re-enter, you need to apply for a new visa.

    • 1 Month Multiple entries: You are permitted to enter Vietnam as Many Times as you want during One Month your visa validity.

    • 3 Months single entry: You are permitted to enter Vietnam ONCE during Three Months your visa validity. After exiting Vietnam, your visa will automatically become invalid. If you would like to re-enter, you need to apply for a new visa.

    • 3 Months Multiple entries: You are permitted to enter Vietnam as Many Times as you want during Three Months your visa validity.

  5. Almost foreigners need an entry visa to Vietnam except for nationals named in the Vietnam visa exemption list.

    Vietnam visa exemption list:

    • Visa-free less than 30 days: Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, Indonesia, Cambodia (*).

    • Visa-free less than 21 days: Philippines (*).

    • Visa-free less than 14 days: Brunei, Myanmar (can enter and exit Vietnam many times (*).

    • Visa-free less than 15 days: Japan, South Korean, Russia, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Belarus, Germany, France, Spain, United Kingdom, Italy (**).

    Note:

    + Citizens from (*) countries can enter and exit Vietnam many times.

    + If citizens from (**) countries wish to re-enter Vietnam under the visa exemption program again, the previous visit must be far at least 30 days the next visit.

  6. Visa approval letter is a document issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department (Vietnam Ministry of Public Security) that permits foreigners to enter and exit Vietnam in a given period of time. With the visa approval letter, you can get onto your plane and pick up your visa upon arrival at one of the three international airports in Vietnam (Hanoi, Hochiminh City, and Da Nang).

    Please take note that the visa approval letter is NOT available for those who travel by LAND or by CRUISE.

  7. Yes, it is. Visa on arrival or Vietnam visa approval letter is a document issued by Vietnam Immigration Department, the unique authority in Vietnam has the full right to consider and approve visa application. It is recognized by IATA (International Air Traffic Association), visa on arrival is totally legitimate. Hereinafter is the information cited from the Vietnam Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Please check out through the Vietnam Ministry of Foreign Affairs website if you have any further consideration in relations to the visa on arrival.

    1. Regulatory documents:
    • Law No. 47/2014/QH13 on 16 June 2014 on entry, exit, transit, and residence status of foreigners in Viet Nam

    2. General provisions:
    • Foreigners who enter and exit Vietnam must have their passport or passport substitutes (hereinafter referred to as passports) and visas issued by competent authorities of Viet Nam, except in case of visa exemption. The passport substitutes must be introduced to and accepted by Vietnamese competent authorities through diplomatic channel.
    • Vietnamese nationals who reside overseas holding travel documents issued by foreign competent authorities as valid documents to enter into, exit from the host country, the sample of which has been introduced officially to and accepted by Vietnamese competent authorities through diplomatic channels, are allowed to enter Viet Nam with these documents.

    3. Types of visas:
    • Single entry visa: is a visa having validity to enter into and exit from Vietnam for one time.
    • Multiple entry visa: is a visa having validity to enter into and exit from Vietnam for more than one time.

    4. Visa on arrival:

    a. The following foreigners are eligible for visa on arrival:
    • Departing from a country where there is no competent Vietnamese visa-granting authority;
    • Travelling through many countries before entering Viet Nam;
    • Visiting Viet Nam on tours organized by an international travel agency operated in Viet Nam;
    • Foreign crewmembers on board vessels anchored in Vietnam’s seaport wishing to exit through other border checkpoint;
    • Visiting Viet Nam to attending a relative’s funeral or visit a seriously ill family member;
    • Entering Viet Nam to engage in emergency response, search/rescue activities, disaster or epidemic control or for other special purposes at the request of the competent authority in Viet Nam.

    b. Before entering Viet Nam, applicants for visa on arrival must apply for a visa approval for picking up visa at the border checkpoint issued by the Immigration Department, the Consular Department or the Department of External Affairs of Ho Chi Minh city.

    c. Foreigners eligible for visa on arrival shall submit their passports or international travel documents and fill in the visa application form with an attached photo at the Viet Nam’s border control authority. Over-14-year-old children sharing passport with others must fill in a separate visa application form.d. The visa on arrival shall be granted after the Viet Nam’s border control authority completes checking applicant’s information and the visa approval

  8. After finishing payment, you will receive the email confirmation about the day and time you will get the approval letter within 5 minutes. Then, 2 working days later (for normal processing), a scanned color PDF file of your Approval Letter will be sent to you via email, so please be sure you have provided us with your correct email address. You will need the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to open the file.

    Once receiving the Approval Letter via email, we strongly recommend checking your personal information carefully. In case you find any mistake, please contact us as soon as possible. After receiving the visa approval letter, you should print it out (black and white are OK). You are not allowed to board the airplane without this letter in a paper in advance.

  9. Yes, visa on arrival is NOT VALID for ENTRIES BY LAND and BY SEA. It is just applicable to those who travel to Vietnam by air. You can pick up your visa at any international airports in Vietnam, including Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi), Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Hochiminh City), Cam Ranh ( Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa) and Danang Airport (Da Nang).

    Note: If you plan to enter Vietnam by land or cruise, please visit a Vietnamese embassy to obtain your visa.
