How to complete Viet Nam e visa application by yourself?

The Country's Immigration Department is now operating the Viet Nam e visa website where you can easily and quickly complete the procedure online by yourself.

Go to the “For foreigners” option.

  • Fill out the online form fields, very self explanatory.
  • Upload a passport sized photo. (You may be asked to redo many times if the photo is invalid)
  • Upload your passport’s details. (Make sure you put them rightly)
  • Fill out your personal information, travel dates, address, etc.
  • Verify information, go on to payment.
  • Note the reference number that keeps popping up, you will need this to come back to the website to check if your visa application is approved or not yet.

Payment can be done online via credit card. There is an extra of credit card processing fee.

You’ll get one or two pop-up and e-mail confirmation once payment has been successful. Mastercard/ Visa/ JCB are accepted for international payments.

After 3 days, you will be informed to check your Vietnam visa status. You should check it immidiately once it is already approved.

Take your Viet Nam e visa to travel

Ensure that you click the “Print visa” button. You MUST take the printed visa with you to board your flight or to check into any land port or sea port across Vietnam if you don’t travel by plane.

Upon arrival in Vietnam, show your passport and printed visa to the immigration officer so that they can allow you to enter Vietnam smoothly.
